Alaska-Anchorage stuffs Chaminade
The 10th-ranked Alaska Anchorage women’s basketball team trounced Chaminade 100-45 at McCabe Gym on Tuesday night. The Silverswords offense struggled throughout the game, trailing 52-16 at the half.
Chaminade shot just 11-for-47 from the floor. Junior guard Nikki Tauau led the Swords with 12 points and six rebounds.
Bruna Deichmann led Alaska-Anchorage with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.
The Swords and Seawolves will face off again today at 5 p.m. at McCabe Gym.
HPU soccer trio named All-Region
Three Hawaii Pacific men’s soccer players were named to the All-West Region Team by the National Soccer Coaches Associationbof America on Tuesday.
Chance Bukoski garnered first-team honors for the second year in a row, while Kainoa Kahui and George Fochive placed on the second team.
HPU finished the season with a 14-4 record and won the PacWest Conference title.
