Police car hits woman running across road
A woman suffered minor injuries after being hit by a police patrol car early Monday in Pearl City.
The woman was apparently involved in some kind of a dispute and was chasing someone across Waimano Home Road when she was struck, police said. She was treated and released from an area hospital.
Police said the incident took place at about 2 a.m., when she ran from Pacheco Neighborhood Park toward Pearl City Shopping Center.
Teen robbed after posting on Craigslist
A 17-year-old boy was robbed Sunday in Kailua after meeting a man to sell some items the boy had posted on Craigslist, police said.
The boy told police that after meeting the man at a park at about 6:10 p.m., the man shoved him, took his things and left in a vehicle. Officers found the Waimanalo man and the vehicle about 90 minutes later. He was arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery.
Haleiwa traffic argument leads to arrest
A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday after assaulting his neighbor over a traffic incident in Haleiwa, police said.
The men were arguing at about 5 p.m. when the man struck his 54-year-old neighbor, who was still sitting in his vehicle, police said. Officers arrested the man for investigation of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
Man accused of assaulting police officer
A Makiki man, upset that his friend was being escorted from his apartment complex early New Year’s Day, allegedly assaulted a police officer.
When officers responded to a trespassing-related call at the Makiki building at about 4:15 a.m., the man, 28, became upset and yelled obscenities at his neighbors, police said. An officer approached the man to arrest him for disorderly conduct, and the man allegedly assaulted the officer.
He was booked for investigation of assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The man and the officer were both treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
