Share the news of your orchid show

To paraphrase the Quran, bread might feed the body, but flowers feed the soul — and in Hawaii, orchids are the main course of any floral feast.

To celebrate this exotic and varied bloom, and those who nurture them with care and pride, the Today section on Jan. 30 will run a list of orchid shows taking place in 2012. To be listed (it’s free), email features@staradvertiser.com with the name of the event, sponsor, date, time, location, a description of the event and contact information. The deadline to submit a listing is Jan. 24.
