Service for police officer killed in H-1 crash to be held Saturday
A candlelight memorial service will be held for police officer Garret Davis beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the New Hope church in Waipahu.
Davis died the night of Jan. 21 after he pulled over to help a motorist on H-1 Freeway in Aiea. A truck hit the squad car in which Davis sat.
The service, which is being put on by friends of Davis, will be held at 94-050 Farrington Highway.
The Honolulu Police Department is also holding a service, tentatively scheduled for Feb. 7. Detais are not yet available.
