2 injured as car crashes into Jamba store
A boy and a woman sustained minor injuries Friday after a car reversed into the Jamba Juice at Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center, police said.
The boy was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in good condition. The woman had minor cuts from shattered glass but declined treatment.
Police said the crash happened at about 1:45 p.m. when a Kaneohe man in his 40s either accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake or thought he had taken the Mustang coupe out of reverse.
Four customers were inside the smoothie shop when the car crashed through the glass window and struck the boy, about 15 years old. The boy had cuts from the glass. The woman was knocked down by the car outside the store. The man was alone in the car and not hurt, police said.

Officers arrested a 30-year-old Kalihi woman Thursday after she allegedly "disciplined" a younger brother and sister with a wooden baseball bat last month, police said.
A 14-year-old male suffered "substantial injury" in the Jan. 19 incident, police said. The boy’s sister, 11, had "bodily injury," according to the arrest report.
The suspect turned herself in to police Thursday morning for investigation of two counts of second-degree assault.
