Despite its worst showing at the box office in 13 years, the University of Hawaii still led the Western Athletic Conference in football tickets issued in 2011.
According to an NCAA report, the Warriors distributed an average of 31,785 tickets per home game, ranking 75th among 120 Football Bowl Subdivision teams.

That still out-paced Fresno State by 2,487 per game and the six other WAC schools.
UH’s turnstile average, the tickets actually used, was 28,194. The NCAA method is tickets distributed.
It was UH’s last year in the WAC before departing for the Mountain West and the fifth consecutive season the Warriors have topped the conference.
Since Brigham Young’s departure following the 1998 season, either UH or Fresno State has led the WAC.
Among the nine schools that will constitute the MWC in 2012, UH would have ranked fourth behind San Diego State (39,868), Air Force (35,303) and Boise State (34,018).
The WAC ranked ninth among 11 FBS conferences, averaging 20,407 per game. The MWC was seventh, averaging 29,035.
The top-ranking conference was the Southeastern at 75,832. Michigan led all schools at 112,179.
