Watching television might not have been on top of everyone’s mind Monday as audiences tuned out in the final hour of prime time: "Hawaii Five-0," its ABC rival "Castle" and NBC’s upstart "Smash" all recorded low viewer numbers, according to Nielsen ratings released by CBS.
"Five-0" won the hour despite a season low of 9.7 million viewers. "Castle" drew 8.86 million, and "Smash," in its second week, drew 8.06 million. In its debut last week, "Smash" won the hour with 11.44 million viewers.
However, among adults 18-49 Monday, "Smash" won the hour, according to Nielsen. It drew 2.8 percent of the total viewing audience and 9 percent of those watching TV at the time. "Five-0" was second with 2.7 percent of the total viewing audience and 8 percent of those watching TV at the time.
