Spruce up your spring look at Neiman Marcus event
Spring is here, and to freshen up your look for the season, Neiman Marcus is hosting its Beauty Event, a seasonal peek at cosmetic and skin care trends, today through March 4.
Stop by your favorite makeup counter for makeovers and consultations. A tote bag in your choice of spring colors — yellow, pink and gold — will accompany any $100 cosmetics or fragrance purchase, one per customer.
The tote gift includes an assortment of samples, including Kiehl’s Since 1851 Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, two Kate Somerville Clinic-to-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads, Molton Brown Vitalising Vitamin AB+C bath and shower gel, A Dozen Roses Electron Eau de Parfum, and the latest hair-care products from Frederic Fekkai.
Hard Rock fashion show features French undies
HIC will present the Pull-In Underwear Fashion Show Friday at Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki.
The event features a sneak peek at French label Pull-In’s 2012 holiday underwear line, coinciding with the filming of the hit French TV show "Angels of Reality." Cast members will be walking the runway for the season titled "Club Hawaii," which places well-known French reality stars in a house on Oahu as they pursue their entertainment careers.
The show will feature music by DJs Rayne, Rick Roman and J Roc with MC Roxy on the mic.
The event starts at 10 p.m. with no cover charge. Must be 21. Call 955-7383.
Admire designer clothes, bid on luxe items at benefit
The Junior League of Honolulu will host the showing of 24 pieces from Diane Von Furstenberg’s spring/summer 2012 runway collection, "Beginnings," during its annual "Sacs in the City" fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 3 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.
Another highlight of the lunch event is a silent auction of luxury handbags and other items that give the event its name. Each guest will receive a gift of a bottle of DVF fragrance.
Mrs. America Lara Fonoimoana will emcee the event, and funds raised will benefit the Junior League’s community outreach activities for children and families.
Tickets are $95. Visit www.juniorleagueofhonolulu.org.
