Hawaii loses to California in wrestling
Hawaii’s Action Zone Wrestling came up short against California’s All Pro Wrestling on Saturday night in the inaugural Pacific Challenge, losing two out of three matches at the APW Garage in Hayward, Calif.
In the first match, the AZW tag team of Bobby "The Lightning" Bolt and Mark Anarchy lost to Dylan Drake and A.J. Kirsch when Anarchy abandoned Bolt in the ring, leaving Bolt to get pinned by Kirsch.
AZW prevailed in the next showdown, with Kaimana defeating APW’s Jeckles.
In the main event, AZW heavyweight champion "Mr. Athletic" Jeff Cobb could not overcome APW universal heavyweight champion Timothy Thatcher, losing by pinfall.
AZW founder and promoter Daryl Bonilla said the "show went very well, and APW and (its) fans were pleased."
There is talk of more collaboration, he said, with APW possibly paying a visit to Hawaii.
