» Cornell senior Jeeter Ishida (Punahou ’08) earned a save in his Big Red debut, allowing one run on three hits with one strikeout in four innings of a 15-4 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday. Ishida pitched collegiately for the first time in three years after transferring from Arizona State.
» UNLV senior Danny Higa (Saint Louis ’08) batted 4-for-10 with a walk and run scored as the Rebels lost two of three against Nevada over the weekend.
» Northwestern senior Paul Snieder (Punahou ’08) went 2-for-12 with a home run, five walks and two runs scored to help the Wildcats finish 2-2 in the Snowbird Classic over the weekend.
» Washington sophomore Dae Yang Kim (Moanalua ’09) worked a perfect ninth inning, striking out a batter, in a 6-0 victory over Saint Joseph’s on Sunday.
» Oregon State freshman Carlos Rodriguez (‘Iolani ’11) closed out an 11-3 win over Northern Illinois on Sunday, allowing a hit and striking out one in a scoreless ninth.
» Southern Utah right-hander Kelsey Outram (‘Iolani ’08) earned the win in the opener of a four-game series against Hawaii Pacific, allowing one run on two hits in 8 1⁄3 innings with three walks and eight strikeouts. Sophomore Bryson Kenolio (Kamehameha ’10) went 5-for-14 in the series with three runs scored. Seniors Justin Neuhart (Molokai ’07) and Mitchell Kauweloa (Kamehameha ’07) each had three hits with Neuhart hitting a solo homer on Saturday.
» Pacific (Ore.) junior Rob Dittrick (Mid-Pacific ’09) threw a complete-game five-hitter in a 7-1 victory over Linfield (Ore.) on Saturday. First baseman Mike Nagamine (Mid-Pacific ’08) singled and scored a run, and Nick Tasaka (Mid-Pacific ’09) had an RBI for the Boxers.
» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps first baseman Brett Watanabe (‘Iolani ’10) went 3-for-7 with four RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Caltech on Saturday.
» Cal State East Bay junior Zachary Wong (Kaiser ’09) pitched 2 2⁄3 scoreless innings of relief, allowing three hits and no walks with four strikeouts, to earn a win in a 6-5 victory over UC San Diego in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
» Northern Colorado outfielder Jensen Park (‘Iolani ’11) went 4-for-12 with two doubles, and infielder Ryan Yamane (Punahou ’11) was 2-for-7 with three RBIs to help the Bears win one of three games against Washington State over the weekend.
» Willamette (Ore.) freshman Tiras Koon (‘Iolani ’11) hit a two-run homer, and left-hander Eland Tsubata (‘Iolani ’11) pitched a scoreless eighth in an 11-4 loss to Pacific Lutheran on Sunday. Koon finished 5-for-12 with three RBIs in the three-game series.
» Whittier (Calif.) sophomore pitcher Curtis Martin (‘Iolani ’10) worked a scoreless ninth inning in a 6-1 loss to Cal Lutheran in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
» Trinity (Texas) sophomore guard Matt Feldman (Punahou ’10) had four assists and a steal in 11 minutes off the bench as the Tigers upset Mary Hardin Baylor University 68-66 in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament on Friday. Feldman had four points, three assists and two rebounds in a 64-53 loss to Whitworth (Wash.) in the second round on Saturday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
» Cal State Northridge junior Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) had six points, seven rebounds, four assists and a block in 27 minutes to help the Matadors defeat Cal State Fullerton 60-51 on Saturday.
» UNLV senior Jamie Smith (‘Iolani ’08) was named to the All-Mountain West Conference third team. Smith averaged 9.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. The Rebels will play New Mexico in the MWC quarterfinals today.
» Utah junior guard Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) was 7-for-17 from the field, finishing with 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals, in a 65-47 win over Oregon on Saturday. Utah will play Colorado in the Pac-12 tournament today.
MEN’S GOLF
» San Diego senior Alex Ching (Punahou ’08) fired a second consecutive 3-under 69 to win the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic on Tuesday. Ching, the No. 28 ranked player in the nation, won for the second time in three tournaments, finishing 7 under over three rounds. Brigham Young sophomore Justin Keiley (Baldwin ’10 finished tied for 27th place at 5-over 221.

» Pepperdine freshman Alina Ching (Punahou ’11) closed with a final round 8-over 80 and tied for second in the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday in Tarzana, Calif. Ching finished the three-day tournament at 7 over, shooting a 3-under 69 on Monday, her lowest round of the year.
» Oregon freshman Cassy Isagawa (Baldwin ’11) closed with an even-par 72 to finish fourth at the Julie Inkster Spartan Invitational on Tuesday in Eugene, Ore. Isagawa, who held sole possession of the lead following an opening-round 69, shot 76 in the second round and finished at 1 over for the tournament. Gonzaga freshman Alice Kim (University ’11) closed with an 80 to finish at 11-over 227, tied for 12th. San Francisco freshman Michelle Condry (Punahou ’11) and Washington freshman Cyd Okino (Punahou ’11) tied for 43rd place at 24 over.

» LSU freshman Randi Lau (Thompson Academy ’11) earned a 9.75 on the vault, a 9.80 on bars and a 9.85 on the beam in a meet on Friday.
» Arizona State senior Kahoku Palafox (Maryknoll ’08) scored a 9.825 on the beam in a dual-meet loss to Washington on Friday.
» Cornell sophomore Mackenzie Sato (‘Iolani ’10) scored a 9.725 on the floor, earning the top individual finish for the Big Red in a quad meet against Rutgers, Eastern Michigan and Temple on Saturday.

» Florida State sophomore Courtney Senas (Mililani ’10) went 4-for-16 with a double, three runs and a stolen base as the Seminoles finished 2-3 in the Bank of Hawaii Invitational over the weekend.
» Mississippi State senior Ka‘ili Smith (Kapolei ’08) went 6-for-14 with two doubles, a home run, five walks, eight runs scored and three RBIs to lead her team to a perfect 5-0 record in the Bulldog Classic that ended on Sunday.
» Washington freshman Kimberlee Souza (‘Iolani ’11) went 3-for-11 with five runs scored and was hit by a pitch four times to help the Huskies go a perfect 5-0 in the Louisville Slugger Classic over the weekend.
» East Carolina sophomore Chelsea Kaluhiokalani-Glackin (St. Francis ’10) went 2-for-7 with a double and two runs scored and Kristi Oshiro (Mililani ’10) added two hits as the Pirates lost all four games in the DeMarini Invitational in Fullerton, Calif.
