The defending state champion Pearl City Chargers took the lead with two runs in the fourth inning and held on to defeat Aiea 3-2 in the Oahu Interscholastic Association baseball opener for both teams.
Jason Komoda, Matt Tsutomi and Tanner Tokunaga all had two hits for Pearl City. Sean Milan earned the win and Tokunaga got a save.
Brett Tanonaka and Daylen Pajimola each had two hits including a double for Na Alii.

Larry Pass struck out seven and drove in the winning run in the eighth as the Mules came from behind to defeat the Seariders in an OIA West game.
The game was a makeup from Saturday’s originally scheduled contest that was postponed due to rain. Waianae catcher Joe Garcia had two of the team’s four hits.

Keiki Carlos and Kayla Au combined on a no-hitter as the defending state champion Owls soared over the Wolverines.
Carlos also had a grand slam, while Nicole Lopez went deep for Mid-Pacific, which scored 11 runs in the first inning, six runs in the second and eight in the fifth.
