Millerbird settles in on Laysan after being reintroduced in 2011

Of two dozen millerbirds that biologists moved to Laysan from Nihoa Island in September, at least 21 survived the winter storm season. Three have not been seen for months, but still might reappear. A worker places a temporary radio transmitter on an endangered Nihoa millerbird at Laysan.
