* Mountain West Conference game

For the first time in its 11-year history, the Hawaii Bowl could be played on a Monday this year.
The game is tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2012, at Aloha Stadium, but game officials said no decision has yet been made on a date or time and declined comment.
ESPN Regional Television, owner and operator of the game, is believed to be awaiting the announcement of the NFL schedule before setting a date. The game has traditionally sought to avoid going head-to-head with the NFL on television.
Since its inception in 2002, the game has been played on every day of the week except Monday and Tuesday.
The game is contracted to match representatives from Conference USA and, for the first time, the Mountain West Conference. The previous deal was with the Western Athletic Conference and C-USA but follows UH into its inaugural season in the MWC.
UH will represent the conference if the Warriors are bowl eligible, meaning they would require at least six victories in what currently stands as a 12-game regular season.
