» San Francisco freshman left-hander Sheldon Lee (‘Iolani ’10) worked a perfect seventh inning in a 3-2 loss to Hawaii on Sunday, striking out one of the three batters he faced. Lee has appeared in seven games for the Dons this season, posting a 1.42 ERA in 6⅓ innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out three.

» Northwestern senior Paul Snieder (Punahou ’07) hit .320 (8-for-25) with two doubles, four runs and two RBIs, helping the Wildcats go 3-3 in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational that ended Tuesday. Snieder also made three appearances on the mound, allowing four hits and one run in 2⅔ innings with no walks and three strikeouts. Left-hander Michael Jahns (St. Anthony ’07) took the loss against Bucknell, allowing an unearned run in 2⅔ innings on four hits with no walks and a strikeout for the Wildcats.
» Northern Colorado outfielder Jensen Park (‘Iolani ’11) went 6-for-12 with a double, four runs and five RBIs and Ryan Yamane (Punahou ’11) added two hits, two walks and two RBIs to help the Bears win two of three games against Southern Utah. Junior Tyler Yamamoto (‘Iolani ’09) added a pinch-hit single for Northern Colorado. Bryson Kenolio (Kamehameha ’10) went 4-for-9 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Mitchell Kauweloa (Kamehameha ’07) was 2-for-8 with three walks, a run and an RBI for Southern Utah. Justin Neuhart (Molokai ’07) added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs and junior right-hander Kelsey Outram (Mililani ’08) went 7⅓ innings, allowing 10 hits and two earned runs with three walks and three strikeouts as the Thunderbirds lost the opener, 3-2, on Thursday.
» George Fox junior Todd Nagamine (Mid-Pacific ’09) went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored to help the Bruins take two of three games over Willamette (Ore.) over the weekend. Bearcats freshman Rolenn Himuro (Punahou ’11) went 3-for-6 with a double and three runs scored, and Tiras Koon (‘Iolani ’11) was 1-for-6 with two walks and a run scored.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
» Utah junior guard Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) had eight points, two rebounds and an assist as the Utes’ season ended with a 52-39 loss to Washington in the second round of the WNIT tournament on Sunday. Rodrigues was one of five Utah players in double figures with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 69-58 win over Utah State in the first round on Thursday. Aggies junior Pualei Furtado (Kamehameha ’09) started at guard and had eight points, three rebounds, and two assists in 26 minutes.
» Cal State Northridge junior forward Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, finishing with 12 points, six rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes off the bench of a 60-58 loss to San Diego in the first round of the WNIT tournament on Friday, ending the Matadors’ season.

» Arizona senior Rebecca Cardenas (Hawaiian Mission Academy ’08) finished second in both the vault (9.850) and bars (9.85) and third on floor (9.85) in a quad meet on Friday against Bridgeport, Utah State and Air Force.
» LSU freshman Randi Lau (Thompson Academy ’11) won her first collegiate title, finishing first on beam (9.85) and tied for third on bars (9.825) in a victory over West Virginia on Friday.
» Sacramento State senior Emiko Ono (Roosevelt ’08) scored a 9.750 on vault and a 9.650 on beam to help the Hornets finish second in a tri-meet on Friday. UC Davis freshman Tiana Montell (St. Joseph ’11) earned a personal-best score of 38.625 in the all-around for the Aggies, who finished third.
» Maryland senior Becca Pang (Punahou ’08) earned a 9.650 on beam in a loss to Penn State on Saturday.

» Washington shortstop Kimberlee Souza (‘Iolani ’11) went 2-for-7 with three runs and two RBIs, helping the Huskies go 4-0 in the Judi Garman Classic that ended Friday. Brigham Young sophomore Katie Manuma (Campbell ’10) hit .250 (2-for-8) with two walks, two RBIs and a run scored as the Cougars finished 2-1 in the same tourney.
» Mississippi State senior Ka‘ili Smith (Kapolei ’08) went 3-for-9 with three walks, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base in the Bulldogs’ three losses to LSU over the weekend.
» Loyola Marymount senior Kulie Ahlo (‘Iolani ’08) went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in a doubleheader sweep of Iowa State last Wednesday.
» San Diego junior Chelsea Kamai (Sacred Hearts ’09) went 3-for-3 with a triple, run, RBI and stolen base in a 9-0 victory over Quinnipiac. She drew a walk in a 1-0 victory over Valparaiso to help the Toreros finish 2-0 in the rain-shortened San Diego Classic II that ended Friday.
» St. Martin’s (Wash.) junior Joslyn Eugenio (Sacred Hearts ’09) went 4-for-7 in a doubleheader sweep of Simon Fraser on Sunday.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
» Portland sophomore Gabrielle Gorence (Mid-Pacific ’10) won both singles matches at the No. 6 position last week to help the Pilots finish 1-1, beating Cal State Fullerton on Thursday and losing to Cal State Northridge on Friday.
» Seattle junior Nicole Naraoka (Punahou ’08) won her singles match at the No. 6 position in straight sets in the Redhawks’ 4-3 loss to Eastern Washington on Sunday.
» Whittier (Calif.) teammates Adrienne Hamada (Mililani ’10) and Rachel Sugiyama (Kalani ’11) teamed up to win in No. 2 doubles and Sugiyama won her No. 4 singles match to help the Poets defeat Kalamazoo 9-0 on Monday.

» Brigham Young middle blocker Futi Tavana (Kauai ’05) hit .700 with 14 kills in 20 swings without an error and added 13 block assists in a five-set win over Hawaii on Friday. Freshman Jaylen Reyes (Kamehameha ’11) added 11 digs and four assists for the Cougars. In a three-game sweep of the Warriors on Saturday, Tavana had six kills, seven block assists and an ace, and Reyes had eight digs and three assists.
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
» Cal State Bakersfield sophomore Paige Tsuruda (Word of Life ’10) scored a season-high four goals to lead the Roadrunners to a 10-7 win over Sonoma State at the LMU Invitational on Saturday. Tsuruda finished with nine goals to help CSU Bakersfield go 4-0 in the tournament.
» Harvard junior Aisha Price (Punahou ’09) had a team-high four goals and sister Shayna Price (Punahou ’10) had a goal, three assists and a steal in a 12-10 loss to California Baptist on Saturday.
» Occidental (Calif.) junior Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha ’09) scored a game-high four goals in a 19-6 win over Virginia Military Institute and added two more in an 18-7 win over Vanguard University last Thursday.
