Join West Marine for grand opening
Gyotaku fish printing, life-jacket fittings for kids and tips from local boating experts are all part of the festivities planned for West Marine’s grand-opening celebration today through Sunday.
West Marine, a retail store offering boating supplies and accessories, is across from Kmart at 420 N. Nimitz Highway.
Check out boats on display from local dealers, electronics demonstrations by Raymarine and Navico, free refreshments and raffle prizes. The Coast Guard Auxiliary, with the help of a life-sized fish mascot, will help keiki get fitted for life jackets.
Enjoy Hawaiian music, keiki hula, local food and drinks, plus a raffle and silent auction from 6 to 9 p.m. at the store’s “Cruising for a Cause” benefit today. Tickets for the benefit are $10.
Dean Sensui, host of “Hawaii Goes Fishing,” will be on hand for a meet-and-greet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Call West Marine at 526-4420 for more details.
