Fundraiser runs for Kailua HS
The annual Friends of Kailua High 5K & 10K races are set for Sunday beginning at 7 a.m.
The first male and female in each event receive trophies, and top three finishers in age-group categories receive medals.
Entry fee is $25, including a T-shirt, or $15 without a shirt. Entries will be accepted at Saturday’s packet pickup, from noon to 3 p.m. at the school gym, or Sunday starting at 6 a.m. at the school.

Raceway offers HulaCross
Racers will compete for points in the HulaCross Grand Championship beginning with Sunday’s first motocross event of the season at Kalaeloa Raceway Park.
Competition begins with a practice session, followed by a two-lap timed race for heat placement. The heat winners move on to the final.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. Admission is $10.

Waikiki Paddle Festival near
Registration is open for the Quiksilver Waterman Collection Waikiki Paddle Festival May 5 and 6 off Duke Kahanamoku Beach.
The event offers competition in paddleboard, stand-up paddleboard, surfski and 1-, 2- and 6-man outrigger. Athletes will vie for $25,000.
The highlight of the festival will be a “Survivor SUP Race,” which is a WPA-sanctioned qualifier for the upcoming WPA National SUP Championship. There also will be a Quiksilver Waterman Challenge, a race that includes swimming, paddleboard and SUP legs.
Entry fees start at $75, with package races for those entering more than one race.
