BYUH downs New Orleans
The top-ranked Brigham Young-Hawaii women’s tennis team defeated Division I New Orleans 5-2 on Monday in New Orleans, La., to improve to 17-0 for the season. Annie Hwang and Sherry Liu teamed at No. 1 doubles for an 8-1 win and both swept their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
» The fifth-ranked Hawaii Pacific women’s tennis team won its sixth straight match Monday, defeating Hawaii-Hilo 9-0 at the Central Oahu Regional Park tennis complex.
» The Chaminade women’s tennis team (4-7) dropped an NCAA West Region contest, 6-3, to Sonoma State on Monday at the Central Oahu Regional Park courts.
» The 26th-ranked Brigham Young-Hawaii men’s tennis team (5-5) blanked Willamette twice Monday, 5-0 and 6-0.
Weekly honor for BYUH’s Hwang
Brigham Young-Hawaii junior Annie Hwang was named player of the week in women’s tennis after helping the Seasiders go 2-0 last week. She was 4-0, winning at both No. 1 singles and doubles in road victories over Montevallo and Clayton State.

Dixie State sweeps HPU
Dixie State downed Hawaii Pacific in a PacWest doubleheader Monday in St. George, Utah.
The Red Storm (20-8, 16-6 PacWest) took the first game 8-4, and edged the Sea Warriors (17-7, 9-5), 5-4 in the second game.

SOFTBALL
Chaminade falls to Cal Baptist
The Chaminade softball team (6-14, 5-9 PacWest) dropped a doubleheader to Cal Baptist on Monday at Riverside, Calif.
The Lancers (27-5, 12-4) trounced the Silverswords 8-0 in the first game, shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Cal Baptist launched three home runs to take the second game 11-1 in five innings.
» Hawaii Pacific split a doubleheader with Grand Canyon on Monday in Phoenix. Breanne Patton (12-3) scattered six hits over seven innings to lead the Sea Warriors to a 9-1 win in the first game. The league-leading Antelopes (18-10, 9-3) outslugged the Sea Warriors (18-10, 12-6) to take the second game 10-6.

BYUH men 13th at Thunderbird
The Brigham Young-Hawaii men’s golf team sits in 13th place out of 20 teams after two rounds of the Grand Canyon University Thunderbird Spring Invitational in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Scott Pickering led the Seasiders with an even par 144 (71-73) and is tied for 26th place.
