As senior Matt Sisto put it on Wednesday, "we just have to flush it on move on."
The Hawaii baseball team is back home for a series against UC Davis starting tonight after suffering its first four-game sweep of the season at the hands of Gonzaga last weekend.
Whether it was a coincidence or not, Hawaii’s first road trip of the season resulted in what head coach Mike Trapasso called, "our worst weekend of the season."
So how do the Rainbows go about atoning for it?

"It’s about going back to playing good baseball," Trapasso stated simply. "It was pretty obvious what areas we struggled in and it’s areas that have been our strength."
Hawaii still ranks in the top 25 in the country in pitching, but allowed more runs against the Bulldogs than in its previous 12 games combined.
Defensively, UH committed six errors — which proved costly in multiple games — and botched a couple of double-play balls that allowed extra runs to cross the plate.
"Baseball is a game where you can always redeem yourself," junior Breland Almadova said. "We’ve got to be better on defense and our pitching will be fine but the main thing is knowing what you do after that (game) is what makes you a better player and a better team."
Almadova was one of five Rainbows to hit .300 or better against the Bulldogs.
Senior Collin Bennett and junior Pi‘ikea Kitamura continued to hit the way they have all season and freshman catcher Cody Clark had three hits in 10 at-bats, including an RBI double.
Clark’s ability to hit could help UH’s hottest hitter continue to flourish in the designated hitter role.
Trevor Podratz went 6-for-16 with a home run and five RBIs to join Bennett and Stephen Ventimilia with season averages above .300.
Podratz is one of four different catchers UH has used this season. When he’s not been behind the plate, the freshman from Temecula, Calif., is hitting .322 (18-for-56) with four extra-base hits and 11 RBIs.
"Rewatching some of my first at-bats, I’ve seen some pitches I wasn’t getting to and pitches that were beating me and I think learning from that is really driving my success," Podratz said. "My biggest thing is I love to swing the bat so any opportunity I get (catching or DH) is great."
Hawaii’s rotation will remain the same, beginning tonight with Sisto, who will try to match a career high with his fifth win.
