B.K. Cannon, former Honolulan, is juggling an acting career with college. She just filmed a guest part on Fox’s “Glee,” which likely will air in about a month, and was seen last month on a segment of CBS’ “Criminal Minds.” She has a role in Mario Van Peebles’ new film, “We the Party,” due in April. But her current “occupation” is student at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. …
To mark his 43rd birthday recently, Dustin Sellers, co-president of ProService Hawaii (and son of legendary Honolulu ad duo Tom and Sherri Sellers), skied with his family (wife Lisa, daughter Paris and sons Max and Quinn) in Park City, Utah. He wound up landing on the front page of the Salt Lake Tribune, airborne and ready for a splashdown. A group of Hawaii folks, including Na Hoku jewelry store owner Ed Sultan, erupted in “Dustin! Dustin! Dustin!” shrieks, from launch to the snowy landing. …
AIR BUZZ: Looks like Steve McGarrett will have a love life in season three of “Hawaii Five-0,” with the signing — as a regular — of Michelle Borth, playing Lt. Catherine Rollins, who previously provided some sparks on the CBS series. So along with the bromance with Danno (Scott Caan), there will be more romantic distractions. Everyone (except Grace Park’s Kono) has one, so why not McG? …
The word can’t be good, however, on the fate of the other island-filmed show, ABC’s “The River,” whose ratings have gone from bad to worse, making a return dubious. Zack Estrin, the writer-executive producer of the quixotic series, will pen “Paranormal Activity 4” for Paramount, set to bow Oct. 19. The “Paranormal” franchise, which grows with each installment, was created by Oren Peli and produced by Jason Blum, who also have stakes in “The River.” Time to let the river run dry? …

The Brothers Cazimero went island-hopping in their recent show at the Hawaii Theatre, “Islands in Your Eyes,” a passport of global fun loaded with melodies inspired by the cultures of the world. Robert and Roland sewed together a Beatles medley for England, a rousing rhythmic otea segment for Tahiti, a nod to Loretta Ables Sayre and “South Pacific” for Manhattan (island) and a nostalgia-laced flashback to “Can Can Musume,” the vintage Japanese pop hit, with guests Kaipo Hale and Tommy Akana singing in Nihongo. …

Vasey, a Rotarian who spent World War II in the South Pacific, attributes his good health to Arcadia living. On a social note, he was a Hollywood playboy dating starlets in the 1940s and had serious affairs with such actresses as Linda Darnell and Betty Hutton. …
