Brunch cruise sets sail on Easter
An Easter morning brunch cruise off Maui is on schedule for the Pacific Whale Foundation.
The cruise will include a chef-prepared buffet with the added benefit of possible dolphin and whale sightings.
The ship departs at 11:30 a.m. April 8 from Lahaina Harbor and returns at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $79.95 for adults, $49.95 for children ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and younger go free.
To get a 10 percent discount, sign up at www.pacificwhale.org. Foundation members will save 20 percent. Reservations can also be made by calling Pacific Whale Foundation at 249-8811, ext. 1.
Explore Kilauea on 2-mile walk
A "Sunday Walk in the Park" is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. April 8 at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
The hike is a two-part, 2-mile round-trip walk exploring two different areas of the park. The first part starts at the Kilauea Visitor Center and explores Sulphur Banks Trail and Crater Rim Trail, an easy 1-mile trek on mostly level ground.
The second part involves driving to Kipukapuaulu (Bird Park).
The event is part of a monthly program offered by the Friends of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The guided walk is free for Friends members, and nonmembers are welcome to join the nonprofit organization to attend. Annual memberships are $30 for individuals and $45 for families, and come with a variety of benefits.
