The city is offering new board and commission members the option to complete mandatory Sunshine Law training online.
Honolulu ordinance requires all public board and commission members to complete a workshop on the state’s open-meetings statute. Until now the training had to be conducted in person — and Honolulu has more than 600 seats that require training.
A new city law now allows board and commission members to use an online video produced by the state Office of Information Practices.
