Batoon, Harrison highlight QB Club lunch
Sol Batoon and Summer Harrison are the speakers for today’s Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon.
Batoon, the athletic director at St. Francis School, was named the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II basketball coach of the year and guided his Saints to a sixth-place finish in the D-II state tournament.
Harrison attends Mid-Pacific Institute, where the sophomore has qualified for the Olympic Swim Trials in late June with a time of 1:01.25 in the 100-meter butterfly.
The luncheon at the Maple Garden restaurant is open to the public and begins at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $15.
UH sweeps San Jose State in tennis
The University of Hawaii women’s tennis team defeated San Jose State 7-0 at the UH Tennis Complex on Sunday.
The Rainbow Wahine (11-6, 2-1 Western Athletic Conference) head on the road to face Nevada on April 22.
