Yoshioka commits to Cabrillo College

Waipahu senior Drake Yoshioka committed to the Cabrillo College (Calif.) baseball team.

Yoshioka, an infielder and pitcher, is finishing his senior season for the Marauders this spring.

New Mexico blanks Hawaii in tennis

Jadon Phillips won in both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles (with playing partner Phil Anderson) to lead New Mexico to a 7-0 victory over Hawaii in men’s tennis in Las Vegas.

Hawaii’s Chas Okamoto lost a hard-fought match to Ben Dunbar of the Lobos, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
