» Kansas freshman pitcher Robert Kahana (Campbell ’11) allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in a 6-4 loss to No. 2 Texas A&M on Saturday.
» Northern Colorado freshman outfielder Jensen Park (‘Iolani ’11) went 9-for-15 with two triples, seven runs, and three RBIs and freshman second baseman Ryan Yamane (Punahou ’11) went 7-for-14 with two triples, seven runs and seven RBIs to help the Bears sweep a four-game series against New York Institute of Technology over the weekend. Park ended the weekend ranked 55th in Division I with a .386 batting average, which is the third highest mark for a freshman.

Ching is 4 over following an even-par 72 on Tuesday. Santa Clara senior Tamara Surtees (Hawaii Prep ’08) is tied for eighth at 9 over after shooting rounds of 82 and 71. San Francisco freshman Michelle Condry (Punahou ’11) is tied for 13th at 11 over and Gonzaga freshman Alice Kim (University ’11) is tied for 19th at 14 over.
» Oregon freshman Cassy Isagawa (Baldwin ’11) shot a 5-under 67 in the final round of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Half Moon Bay, Calif., on Tuesday to finish in a tie for fifth place at 1-under 215. » Mississippi State senior catcher Ka‘ili Smith (Kapolei ’08) was named the Southeastern Conference player of the week on Monday after leading the Bulldogs to a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep of in-state rival Ole Miss. Smith hit .615 (8-for-13) during that stretch with two doubles, two walks, a triple, six runs and six RBIs to help move the Bulldogs into third place in the SEC West. Smith currently ranks in the top 10 in the league in runs (33, 10th), doubles (9, tied for ninth), hits (49, ninth) and walks (31, sixth).
» Florida State sophomore Courtney Senas (Mililani ’10) went 4-for-11 with two doubles, a home run, three runs and four RBIs to help the Seminoles win two of three against Georgia Tech over the weekend.

Chun did not lose a match at No. 1 singles in two victories and was 3-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Yeomen, who improved to 10-10 for the year, marking the most wins in a single season since 2006.

» Pacific (Ore.) freshman Trey Oshiro-Atabay (Mid-Pacific ’11) won the long jump with a season-best mark of 21 feet, 7.25 inches and sophomore Kelson Kawai (Kohala ’10) won the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 9.25 inches and finished second in the high jump, clearing 6-4 at the Pacific Luau Meet on Saturday. Freshman Daniel Wagner (Mid-Pacific ’11) placed second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.07 seconds and Kamu Morita (Kamehameha ’10) tied for third in 16.25 seconds for the Boxers.

» Pacific (Ore.) senior Jenna Matsumoto (University ’08) cruised to victory in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.34 seconds and won the 400 hurdles in 1:06.67 at the Pacific Luau Meet on Saturday. Senior Nicole Smith (Kamehameha-Maui ’08) won the javelin with a throw of 112 feet, 3 inches and finished third in the long jump at 16-10.75.
» Dartmouth (N.H.) junior Joy Piotrowski (Punahou ’09) placed second in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 17-6.25 and 36-10.5 in a meet in Hanover, N.H., on Saturday.

» Southern California freshman Micah Christenson (Kamehameha ’11) totaled a match-high 39 assists, two digs and two kills, and junior Maddison McKibbin (Punahou ’09) had eight kills, four block assists and an ace in a three-set sweep of Cal State Northridge on Saturday. Henry Cassiday (Punahou ’10) added a match-high 10 digs for the Trojans, who won their second straight Mountain Pacific Sports Federations regular-season championship. Danny Rodrick (Kapaa ’07) had 35 assists and three block assists in his final home match for the Matadors, who are the eighth seed and will play the Trojans in the first round of the MPSF playoffs.
» Stanford senior Brad Lawson (‘Iolani ’08) hit .348 with 11 kills, four digs and three blocks, and Erik Shoji (Punahou ’08) had 11 digs as Stanford swept UCLA on Saturday to earn the No. 2 seed in the MPSF playoffs.
