Summer Palipti
Campbell softball
The junior pitcher/outfielder/ catcher was a key cog in the Sabers’ OIA Red title defense. She hurled a two-hitter and went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs against Castle; Palipti also went 2-for-4 against Kailua, and then went the distance (eight innings) as the Sabers edged Kapolei 4-3 in the league title game.

Punahou golf
The senior captured the ILH boys championship with a two-round 141, including a second-day 68 at the Turtle Bay Fazio Course. Hayashida, who has a 3.93 grade-point average, will attend USC this fall. He is member of multiple organizations, including the school’s robotics team and the cross country team, and he is a violist in the school’s symphony.
