Suspect held after dispute turns violent
A 48-year-old Chinatown resident was in custody Thursday, a day after he allegedly got into an argument with two neighbors and injured one of them.
Police said the suspect pulled out a knife during an argument with a 53-year-old resident in the common area of a Chinatown apartment complex just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A second, 54-year-old man intervened and suffered minor cuts caused by glass allegedly thrown by the suspect.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault.
Robber in Kalihi uses long stick or pole
Police were looking for a teenager who robbed two other teens with a long stick or pole Tuesday afternoon in Kalihi.
The robber was carrying the weapon when he took a 14-year-old boy’s cellphone and a 13-year-old boy’s iPod, police said.
The assailant also took a cellphone sitting on the bench next to one of the victims and belonging to another 14-year-old boy, who was not at the scene. The robber then ran off.
Police opened a theft case and two robbery cases.
Female burglar drinks victim’s beverages
A 53-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after she broke into a man’s apartment in Waikiki and drank some of his beverages, police said.
The 42-year-old man had locked his Kaioo Drive apartment the night before, but when he returned at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, he found the woman there and discovered she had consumed several beverages from his refrigerator, police said. Officers were called, and they arrested the woman on suspicion of burglary.
