Native Hawaiian and international spiritual leaders will hold a conference on spirituality and personal development.
"Hoomaikaikai: Voyage of Aloha" will be held at the Pagoda Hotel in Honolulu on May 25-28. Philosophies and exercises planned for the conference integrate Hawaiian practices and spirituality; teachings of personal enrichment from the late Joseph Campbell, an expert on mythology and comparative religion; and insights of the World Business Academy.
About 200 people are expected to attend.
Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner Kauila Clark will lead the conference. Clark is a well-known practitioner who has shared his cultural traditions with international businesses, according to the Hoomaikaikai website.
Rinaldo Brutoco, founder of the World Business Academy, will host mentoring sessions with young entrepreneurs. The academy is "a collaborative international network of business executives, scholars and entrepreneurs dedicated to building a better world through business," its website says.
A retreat will be held at Camp Mokuleia on the North Shore on May 29-30.
The kamaaina fee for the conference is $295 per person until May 21. The regular fee is $495 per person. Cost to attend both the conference and the retreat is $845 per person.
