Keiki Carlos
Mid-Pacific softball
The senior hurler pitched all three of her team’s wins in the state tourney, including a four-hit shutout of Kapolei. She also hit a solo homer against Kapolei for the game’s only run, and tossed a four-hitter against Campbell in the title game as the Owls won their second state title in a row. Carlos will play at UH next season.
BOYS
Evan Enriques
Kamehameha-Hawaii volleyball
The 6-foot-1 sophomore was a hitting machine at the state tourney. He had 34 kills and three blocks against Kamehameha; 35 kills (in 98 attempts), 20 digs and five blocks against Moanalua; 42 kills (in 114 attempts) with 12 digs against Punahou. He was named most outstanding player of the tourney as the Warriors finished a close second to Punahou.
