UH track and field wins three medals
The University of Hawaii women’s track and field team won three medals on Day 3 of the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on Thursday in Moscow, Idaho.
Cecilia Durocher took silver and Robyn Morioka won bronze in the pole vault. Each cleared 12 feet, 8 inches, with Durocher clearing the bar in fewer attempts.
TeRina Keenan won silver in the shot put with a heave of 49-9.75 feet.
In the team standings, Hawaii is fourth with 40.5 points. Idaho leads with 51.5, followed by Fresno State with 45 and Utah State with 43. In the javelin, Karen Guravska (137-10) and Kellsey Trimble (137-6) placed sixth and seventh for the Rainbow Wahine.
The meet concludes today.
