Military veterans get 10% off at Aqua Hotels & Resorts

Take an ‘Art Walk’ on Friday at Makawao town party
Makawao’s monthly town party is set from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The theme is "Art Walk" and will celebrate the many art galleries and artists of the historic Upcountry Maui town.
Festivities include:
» Interactive Art Hunt. At designated spots throughout town, and inside many of Makawao’s art galleries, featured artists will showcase their work, creating their art live and, in some cases, giving free lessons and demonstrations. Guests will be encouraged to hunt for each artist and check in with them to receive a prize for completing at least 80 percent of the full artist list. Prizes will be awarded to the top five participants.

Inaugural Hawaii isle festival celebrates everything chocolate
The inaugural Big Island Chocolate Festival will be held June 8 at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Kaupulehu.
Executive Chef James Babian is leading a team of pastry chefs, confectioners and chocolatiers to offer an evening of chocolate decadence.

Astronomy center’s activities focus on Venus’ big move
Hawaii visitors can watch one of the rarest astronomical phenomena — Venus moving across the face of the sun — on June 5 at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center.
The center is offering special presentations and activities on the event on June 2. On June 5 the center will have special planetarium programming, transit viewing, hands-on activities and viewing of the NASA webcast of the transit from the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy.
