T.J. Maxx will be the featured employer at the WorkForce job fair set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Neal Blaisdell Center. The discount retailer, which is continuing to hire for its three new stores on Oahu, is one of more than 170 employers that will be at the job fair. The event will give job seekers a chance to make initial contact, apply for positions and set up an interview.
The number of employers attending the job fair is up from the same time a year ago, said Beth Busch, executive director of WorkForce. Job seekers are advised to bring copies of their résumés and dress professionally. The event is sponsored by Oahu WorkLinks, ALTRES Staffing, Success Advertising Hawaii, Bank of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific Health. Admission is $3; $1 for students, military and seniors with ID.
