There’s never a lot of good things to say after a loss.
Everyone asks us what went wrong and how could it have been avoided, but in all reality, it’s over and done with and it happened. We can’t go back even though we would like to. All we can do is look forward. Forget about the last at-bat or the last play on defense and make sure the next one is better.
For some reason we haven’t been performing lately and it’s been very frustrating. We have to find the will. The will to compete. The will to fight. And the will to win. We have it in us, I just think we need to believe in it again. And it’s not easy. We are in a group of elite young women who put ourselves through hell. We push our bodies to the limit day in and day out for the satisfaction of playing on a field with our teammates for the chance that we will have another dive, another swing, or another catch. That’s something to be proud of, something to cherish.
And the UH softball team needs to remember that. We need to remember who we are, where we come from, and why we do this.
I know we’re not done yet. I know this isn’t the end of the road for this team. This is a group of amazing girls who are unique and special on and off the field and we are going to come together and make it all worthwhile.
Keep believing and thank you for the continued support.
GO. ‘BOWS. GO.
