Four Seasons hosts wine affair
Take part in seminars and a sunset gala featuring local farm-to-table cuisine and vintages from several pinot noir wineries at the "Four Pinots at Four Seasons" event, June 7-9 at the Four Seasons Resort on Maui.
The schedule includes afternoon wine seminars June 7 and 8, followed by wine dinners at the resort’s restaurants and nearby Capische restaurant. Featured will be vintners Anthill Farms, Brewer Clifton, Patz & Hall, and Costa de Oro.
A golf tournament will be held June 9, followed by the evening gala on the resort’s oceanfront lawn.
The seminar costs $98; wine dinners and gala are $198; golf tournament is $250.

Tomato theme flavors street event
The humble tomato is the theme of the next Eat the Street event on Friday
All participating food truck and street vendors are encouraged to incorporate tomatoes in at least one dish. A few examples: Zaratez Mexicatessen will serve a three-taco special with roasted local tomato and habañero salsa; Soul Patrol has Shrimp Diablo, a spicy mac ‘n’ cheese and shrimp in roasted tomato sauce; and Paul’s Poppers will serve a Lomi Tomato Popper and a Caprese (tomato, basil and mozzarella) Popper.

Festival showcases food and wine
Tickets are on sale for the 2nd Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, to be held at various hotels across Oahu Sept. 6-9.
The festival features more than 50 international master chefs and vintners. Highlights include Masaharu Morimoto and 12 other chefs from Asia and the Pacific at the MODERN Honolulu; a farm-to-table “makahiki” dinner at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort; a “Cuisine of the Stars” dinner featuring 13 top chefs at Ko Olina Resort; and a “Master Chefs Gala” of chefs who have cooked for presidents and royalty, at the Halekulani.
Cost for dinners is $200, except the Halekulani gala, which is $1,000.
