Te’o to speak at Downtown Athletic Club
Notre Dame football star linebacker Manti Te’o, a second-team All-American, is the featured speaker at a Downtown Athletic Club pau hana event to be held tonight at the Hukilau restaurant.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event is open to the public.
Te’o, a former Punahou standout, is heading into his senior season with the Fighting Irish.
UH football camps to be held in June
The University of Hawaii football team will hold a series of camps at the school’s athletic complex in June.
» Big Man’s Camp (for linemen, linebackers, etc.), for ages 13-17, will be held June 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. The fee is $20.
» Skills Camp (quarterbacks, running backs, etc.) for ages 13-17 will be held on June 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. The fee is $20.
» Youth Camp for ages 5-12 will be held June 11-13 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. The fee is $60.
» Team Camp for grades 9-11 will be held June 18-20 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. The fee is $60 per camper.
The fees include a T-shirt, sandwich, refreshments and insurance.

Chun helps U.S. to seventh place
Hawaii wrestler Clarissa Chun helped the U.S. to a seventh-place finish at the Women’s World Cup in Tokyo on Sunday.
Chun, a Roosevelt High alum, won her 105.5-pound class match by technical fall over Anzhela Dorogan as the U.S. beat Azerbaijan 5-2 in the seventh-place match.
