NBA players at youth camp
Isaiah Thomas of the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors’ Nate Robinson headline the Lil’ Big Man Camp, which is making its Hawaii debut June 11-13, at Farrington High School.
The camp runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and is open to boys and girls, ages 6 to 16. The cost is $200.
Among the clinicians are former ‘Iolani all-state players Derrick Low, Kyle Pape and Sean Carney.

4 golds for racquetball players
Aiea’s Jimmy Lowe won gold in two divisions to lead Team Ektelon 808 at last week’s Ektelon National Racquetball Singles Tournament in Fullerton, Calif.
Lowe, one of the top amateur age-group players in the sport, won the men’s 40-plus and 45-plus singles titles. Joe Lee also took gold in the men’s 60-plus division.
Janet Schaffer won a gold in women’s 50-plus B singles, a silver in 40-plus mixed doubles and a bronze in women’s B singles. Phillip Eliana doubled up with silvers in men’s C doubles and military 30-plus singles.
Junior beach qualifier June 9-10
Registration is open for the High Performance Junior Beach Doubles Qualifier Tournament, June 9-10, at Queen’s Beach.
The winners in each division at this Aloha Region-sponsored event qualify for next month’s USAV High Performance Beach Championships in Hermosa Beach, Calif.
