Hawaii baseball coach Mike Trapasso has added to his 2013 recruiting class with the signing of four junior college players.
Outfielder Adam Hurley from Rio Hondo (Calif.) C.C. and infielders Jerry Kleman (South Mountain C.C.), Austin Wobrock (Orange Coast C.C.) and Marc Flores (Hartnell College) will join the Rainbows next year as juniors.
Hurley and Flores were All-Americans this past season. Hurley hit .371 with 10 homers and 48 RBIs, while Flores hit .329 with eight homers and 34 RBIs.
Kleman led the South Mountain (Ariz.) Cougars with a .366 average in 47 games, hitting 13 doubles and six triples with seven stolen bases.
Wobrock hit .250 with three doubles in 72 at-bats at Orange Coast.
Thirteen players in all make up UH’s 2013 class, including state pitcher of the year Quintin Torres-Costa from Waiakea.
Outfielder Kalei Hanawahine, a Kamehameha alumnus who sat out last season after transferring from San Diego, will be eligible next year.
