Wahiawa man held for allegedly threatening wife with knife

A 44-year-old Wahiawa man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly broke into his wife’s home in Kapolei and threatened her with a knife.

Police said the 46-year-old woman moved out of the couple’s home and was granted a protective order after reporting several instances of physical abuse.

The suspect allegedly called his wife on the phone on June 16 and later entered her home and threatened her with a knife, police said.

He was arrested Monday night on suspicion of first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening and three counts of violating a protective order.
