Concussion awareness clinic upcoming

A concussion awareness clinic will be held Thursday at the University of Hawaii athletic complex.

The free event will be held in Room 242 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program includes educational multimedia presentation, a panel of guest speakers and a question-and-answer discussion. Register at doe.k12.hi.us/healthsafety/concussions/index.htm. For information, email coachesclinic@ahct.k12.hi.us

Tinman volunteers needed

Volunteers are being sought for the July 29 Tinman.

Officials are looking for people to help set up on July 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and to help break down on July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The race starts at 5:45 a.m. July 29 and includes a 750-meter swim, a 40-kilometer bike race and a 10K run. For information, contact Joan Davis at 535-9070 or email jrdva4vp@hotmail.com.
