Four of Hawaii’s top-rated FM radio stations and their two AM sister-stations are for sale.
Atlanta-based Cox Media Group said Friday it is selling the six Hawaii stations along with 20 of their mainland radio siblings and four TV stations.

Cox also said it is buying four TV stations in Jacksonville, Fla., and Tulsa, Okla., as part of a sweeping realignment of its broadcast holdings. Cox also owns newspapers.
Cox Radio Hawaii officials deferred comment to the Atlanta office.
Selling all the assets to a single buyer "would be nice and ideal," though improbable, said Andy McDill, Cox director of communications.
"We are receiving some interest," he said, hours after the announcement was made. "Ideally we expect the transactions would close during the fourth quarter," he added, though no deals have yet been made.
McDill declined to reveal a price for the Honolulu stations.
The four Cox FM stations are among the top 10 stations for adult listeners age 25 to 54, a highly desirable demographic for advertisers. Two of its stations, KCCN-FM 100.3 and KRTR-FM 96.3, air among the top five morning shows among the 25-to-54 demographic.
Three of its four FM stations are in the top six stations among 18- to 34-year-olds, both in mornings and overall, according to the just-released Spring 2012 Arbitron survey.
