Future business moguls chosen for showcase at mall
The kids take over Windward Mall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, when 10 winners of the Kids Inc. contest run with the opportunity to put their business plans into action.
The entrepreneurs, ages 6 to 15, submitted business plans via Windward Mall’s Facebook page where fans voted for their favorite ideas. The 10 plans with the most votes will participate in the one-day "business showcase."

Tattooist to sign books and T-shirts
Tattoo and visual artist Don Ed Hardy will be featured during a T-shirt and book-signing at the Honolulu Museum of Art Shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event is in conjunction with the "Tattoo Honolulu" exhibition, celebrating the work of contemporary Hawaii tattoo artists, on view through Jan. 13.
The museum created a limited edition T-shirt featuring Hardy’s "Stay Free" design, shown at left, available at the museum shop in men’s and women’s sizes, priced at $35.
Hardy created the original T-shirt artwork in 2011 for an insert in the DVD of the documentary "Ed Hardy: Tattoo the World." The "Stay Free" design is in the tradition of Ed Hardy’s classic eagle tattoo images, with Japanese-style waves that are his signature element.
The artist will sign books from his publishing house, Hardy Marks Publications, including "Bull’s Eyes & Black Eyes: The Art of Michael Malone," "Folk Art Tattoo Flash: Rosie," "Sailor Jerry Treasure Chest" and "Sailor Jerry American Tattoo."
