The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life
COURTESY FELIPE OGOY
While roaming the Inside Passage of Alaska on their own last month, world travelers and Waipahu residents Paul Ancog and Sharon Balilea stumbled upon The Kona Pacific Rim Grill in Juneau. Restaurant owner Felipe Ogoy, who took the photo, specializes in teriyaki Hawaii-style cooking. Ancog and Balilea have visited all seven continents, 44 foreign countries and 32 of the United States. Balilea says they always are on the lookout for anything "Hawaiian."
