Maruyama wins blind golfers competition
Takeo Maruyama of Pearl City won the Senior Division Award at the 67th United States Blind Golf Association National Championship on Tuesday in Oceanside, N.Y.
Maruyama took home the honor for blind or visually impaired golfers ages 65 or older. He and 24 other competitors were guided by coaches who acted as their eyes. However, the golfers took all swings and strokes themselves.
