A ‘FRITZABRATION' IN?KAILUA
Three chapters of local music history were represented when Arian Hasenpusch, center, welcomed guests to the "Fritzabration" for his father, the late Fritz Hasenpusch, Aug. 12 at Bob's Sports Bar in Kailua. Vernon Sakata played guitar with Fritz in Shnazz in the '70s and '80s; Dennis Christianson and Fritz were members of the Heebee Jeebee Brothers later in the '80s; and Sherry Shaoling and Lloyd "Fluid Floyd" Kandell worked with him as members of the Don Tiki organization.

A GREAT NIGHT AT GORDON BIERSCH
Na Hoa — Ikaika Blackburn, left, Keoni Souza and Halehaku Seabury-Akaka — took a short break backstage with special guest Casey Olsen during the release party for their self-titled debut album Aug. 12 at Gordon Biersch. It was a great night for Hawaiian music with Holunape, Sean Na‘auao and Cyril Pahinui also playing for the capacity-plus crowd.

AIDAN ROCKS THE HARD ROCK
The crowd was wall to wall when Aidan James, right, played a midday concert Aug. 12 at Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki. Drummer Ian Wacksman backed him on some songs, and multitalented Haley Kagimoto, fourth from left, accompanied him on others. "Hawaii Five-0" cast members Michelle Borth, second from left, and Teilor Grubbs joined them onstage after the show.

‘UNCLE TOM' CELEBRATES AT JELLY'S
"Uncle Tom" Moffatt, left, and Kool Gold 107.9 staffer Bart DaSilva celebrated the release of Moffatt's anthology CD, "Uncle Tom's Gabbin' … The Legacy 2," by broadcasting his Aug. 11 Saturday morning radio show from Jelly's in Aiea (see album review).

HSF'S ‘HENRY' OPENS?AT THE ARTS
Director Taurie Kinoshita relaxed with cast members Nicolas Logue (Henry VIII), left, and Alex Durrant (Cardinal Wolsey) after the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival production of "Henry VIII" opened Aug. 10 at the ARTS at Marks Garage. The show was a homecoming for Kinoshita and Logue, who are back in Hawaii after working in England. They persuaded Durrant, a British actor with impressive credits, to come here with them and play one of the major roles in the production.
