The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life
COURTESY GARY KOSAKI
Jared Kosaki of Aiea found a taste of home on a pizza shop menu while visiting the neighborhood of Vesterbro in Copenhagen, Denmark, last month. Jared is pointing to the "Hawaii" pizza, which is topped with "ananas," or pineapple. Apparently, pineapple is a favorite with Scandinavians, as similar menus were spotted in Naestved, Denmark, and Gothenburg, Sweden. Jared was traveling with his parents, Jill and Gary Kosaki.
