Kauai County fire officials said the Kokee wildfire has grown to roughly 3,000 acres but was 70 percent contained Monday. About 130 customers of Kauai Island Utility Cooperative remain without power as crews replace 11 poles charred by the fire, one of the most damaging to the utility’s infrastructure, said spokeswoman Shelley Paik. The work could be finished today, she said. Kokee Road and Waimea Canyon Drive remained closed.
