3 vehicles are destroyed in Kaneohe blaze
Honolulu firefighters extinguished a fire Monday that consumed three vehicles in a townhouse complex parking lot in Kaneohe.
The fire at Yacht Club Knolls on Olina Street was believed to have started with a pickup truck and spread downwind to two sport utility vehicles. All three vehicles were destroyed; a sedan was also damaged by radiated heat from the fire.
Firefighters responding to a dispatch call at 2:51 p.m. arrived to find all three vehicles engulfed in flames. The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading, extinguishing the blaze by 3:30 p.m. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
Initial investigation found no obvious signs of suspicious origin, although investigators have yet to determine how the fire started. No damage estimates are yet available.
