Kauai pipe work will shut water to Nawiliwili
The Kauai County Department of Water has scheduled a water outage for the Nawiliwili area from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. The shutdown will allow contractor Goodfellow Bros. to connect a newly installed waterline to the existing water system.
This project is part of a plan to replace or repair aging infrastructure.
A detailed map of all affected streets can be viewed online at www.kauaiwater.org.
Affected customers are asked to take the following steps:
» Store enough water to meet their needs during the outage.
» Notify family, friends and neighbors who may be affected by the outage.
» Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that their water heaters do not empty during the outage.
