» Washington State freshman safety Taylor Taliulu (Kamehameha ’12) tied a team-high with seven tackles in a 24-20 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday. Cyrus Coen (Pearl City ’11) had three tackles and returned his first career interception for 27 yards, and Chester Sua (Kaimuki ’11) had four solo tackles and a forced fumble and recorded his first career sack for the Cougars.
» Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o (Punahou ’09) finished with a game-high 10 tackles and receiver Robby Toma (Punahou ’09) had four catches for 33 yards in a 20-17 win over Purdue on Saturday.
» UCLA kicker Kaimi Fairbairn (Punahou ’12) made all four extra-point attempts and was 2-for-4 on field goals, hitting from 22 and 35 yards out in a 36-30 win over Nebraska on Saturday. Seali’i Epenesa (‘Iolani ’10) and Dalton Hilliard (Punahou ’09) each contributed a solo tackle, with Hilliard sealing the victory by recovering a late onside kick for the Bruins, who are ranked No. 22 in this week’s Associated Press poll.
» Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota (Saint Louis ’11) was 19-for-27 for 166 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 67 yards on 14 carries in a 42-25 win over Fresno State on Saturday. Defensive tackle Wade Keliikipi (Waianae ’09) added three tackles and a pass breakup for the Ducks.
» Washington linebacker Taz Stevenson (Mililani ’10) had two tackles and forced a fumble on the opening kickoff that led to the Huskies’ only score in a 41-3 loss to LSU on Saturday. Defensive tackle Semisi Tokolahi (Hilo ’09) assisted on three tackles and Lawrence Lagafuaina (Aiea ’10) made one stop for Washington.
» California defensive lineman Aaron Tipoti (Word of Life ’08) assisted on a tackle and recovered a fumble in a 50-31 win over Southern Utah on Saturday.
» Brigham Young tight end Kaneakua Friel (Kamehameha ’07) had four receptions for 30 yards — including his third touchdown catch of the season — in a 45-13 win over Weber State on Saturday. Quarterback Mike Hoke (Kamehameha ’08) was 13-for-26 for 91 yards and Chase Nakamura (Baldwin ’09) had a 39-yard reception for the Wildcats. Receiver Shaydon Kehano (Castle ’10) added one catch for 10 yards and Adam Sagapolutele-White (Saint Louis ’09) and Kela Marciel (‘Iolani ’09) had a tackle each for Weber State.
» Utah State safety Brian Suite (Punahou ’10) assisted on three tackles in a 27-20 overtime win over Utah on Friday. Sophomore linebacker V.J. Fehoko (Farrington ’10) had five tackles for the Utes.
» UNLV linebacker Peni Vea (Kealakehe ’11) finished with a team-high nine tackles and senior John Lotulelei (Baldwin ’09) added eight in a 17-14 loss to Northern Arizona on Saturday.
» Eastern Michigan senior linebacker Bryan Pali (Kamehameha-Maui ’08) made six tackles, including one for loss, in a 31-14 loss to Illinois State on Saturday.
» New Mexico State quarterback Andrew Manley (Leilehua ’10) finished 12-for-24 for 132 yards and a touchdown in a 51-24 loss to Ohio on Saturday. Linebacker B.J. Adolpho (Kahuku ’05) added nine tackles for the Aggies.
» Idaho linebacker Conrad Scheidt (Kamehameha ’09) had eight tackles, including one for loss, and a pass breakup, and Solomon Dixon (McKinley ’11) had seven tackles and an interception in a 21-13 loss to Bowling Green State on Saturday. Robert Siavii (Leilehua ’08) added four tackles for the Vandals.
» Portland State senior Andrew Godinet (Kamehameha ’09) finished with four tackles, including one for loss, and tight end Kalua Noa (Kaiser ’09) had two catches for 5 yards in a 45-37 loss to North Dakota on Saturday.
» Washington (Mo.) junior Andrew Skalman (‘Iolani ’10) had five solo tackles, an interception and two pass breakups, and freshman Quincy Marting (Punahou ’12) made four tackles in a 20-17 overtime loss to Rhodes College on Saturday.
» Chapman University’s Kali’i Kunitomo (Konawaena ’09) had eight catches for 152 yards — including a 60-yard touchdown — in a 55-35 win over Puget Sound on Saturday. Loggers sophomore Kupono Park (Kamehameha ’10) had 10 carries for 45 yards and three catches for 37 yards. Defensive back Roy Fuchigami (Punahou ’10) had four solo tackles and junior Micah Marter (Punahou ’09) added three for UPS.
» Cornell (Iowa) College linebacker Geoffrey Miller (Punahou ’10) had 15 tackles, including 13 solo stops, two pass breakups and an interception in a 34-14 loss to Coe (Iowa) College on Saturday. Miller leads all Division III players with 37 tackles in two games.

» Siena (N.Y.) junior Taylor Akana (Kamehameha ’10) became the fastest player in school history to reach 1,000 career kills, notching 21 with 24 digs in a five-set victory over Princeton on Saturday at the Colgate Invitational. Senior Lesli Akeo (Kamehameha ’09) topped the 30-dig mark for the third time this year, totaling 36 to lead all players.
» St. John’s freshman Shawna-Lei Santos (Sacred Hearts ’12) was named to the Kaiser Classic all-tournament team Saturday. Santos had 11 kills and nine digs in a sweep of Farleigh Dickinson on Friday and had nine kills and 11 digs against Idaho State on Saturday.
» UTEP setter Malia Patterson (Punahou ’10) recorded her third double-double of the season with 44 assists and 10 digs in a four-set loss to Arkansas on Saturday.
» Cal State Northridge junior outside Mahina Haina (‘Iolani ’10) finished with 23 kills and 12 digs in helping the Matadors finish 2-1 at the USF Asics Coca-Cola Challenge over the weekend.
» Hofstra senior Kylee Maneja (Sacred Hearts ’09) became the school’s all-time digs leader after picking up 13 in the Pride’s opening game of the Mean Green Invitational on Friday. Maneja passed Roosevelt alum Shellane Ogoshi with her 1,661st career dig in the third set. Maneja finished with 43 digs in helping Hofstra to a 1-3 record and was selected to the all-tournament team.
» Cal Poly outside hitter Chelsea Hardin (‘Iolani ’09) finished with 10 kills and two blocks in three matches in the USC Classic over the weekend.
» Puget Sound junior Christina Chun (Maryknoll ’10) finished with 34 digs, including a team-high 19 in a loss to Wittenberg, as the Loggers split two matches on Saturday at the Juniata Asics Invitational.
» Cal Lutheran freshman Pua Mo’okini-Oliveira (Kamehameha ’12) had five kills, two digs and an assist and Lesley Smith (Seabury Hall ’09) assisted on a block in a five-set win over Pacific (Ore.) on Saturday. Freshman Marie Rewick (Punahou ’12) hit .302 with a team-high 16 kills and 11 digs to lead the Boxers.
» New Haven sophomore setter Kaulana Ane (Kamehameha-Maui ’11) finished with 143 assists, 28 digs, 10 kills and four aces in helping the Chargers to a 3-1 record in the Thunderwolves Classic over the weekend. Freshman Kea-Marie Olaso (Le Jardin ’12) finished with 62 digs and four aces, averaging 4.77 digs per set.
» Dominican (Calif.) University freshman Sari Kwan (Punahou ’12) finished with 48 digs, nine assists and five aces in four loses at the Seawolf Spike Classic over the weekend.

» Harvard senior Aisha Price (Punahou ’09) scored on a header off of a corner kick in the 49th minute of a 3-1 victory over Colgate on Sunday.
» UNLV junior Courtney Botelho (Kamehameha ’10) assisted on a goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Oklahoma 12 days ago and attempted three shots in a 2-0 win over Sacramento State on Friday as the Rebels have won four in a row for the first time since 2007.
» Cal State San Bernardino freshman Taylor Silva (Kamehameha ’11) scored an insurance goal in the 76th minute to help the Coyotes defeat Cal Baptist 3-1 last Tuesday. Junior Jillian Seminara (Pearl City ’09) attempted a shot for CSBU, and midfielder Mikala Gillis (Sacred Hearts ’11) attempted a shot for the Lancers.
