Maui man is arrested in fatal hit-and-run
Maui police arrested a 73-year-old Paia man Tuesday afternoon in connection with a hit-and-run collision that killed a 56-year-old Paia man Sunday.
A police vehicle homicide investigator found the suspect’s 2003 silver Mitsubishi Galant in Skill Village and determined it had been involved in a crash. Police arrested the man on suspicion of failure to stop and render aid in an accident involving death or serious bodily injury, a Class B felony.
Police said the victim’s body was found Sunday at 8:16 p.m. in the middle of Paia Bypass Road, about two-tenths of a mile west of Baldwin Avenue. Police believe the victim, identified as Gregory L. King, was a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle traveling east on Paia Bypass Road.
Police said they identified King through fingerprints.
The suspect was released pending investigation.

3 suspects sought in burglary in Kapalama
Police are looking for three men who allegedly robbed a man in the Kapalama area early Tuesday morning.
Police said the three men went to the home of a 40-year-old man at 1:30 a.m. During the encounter, two of the suspects assaulted and robbed the victim. One suspect reportedly brandished a weapon during the robbery.
