Wear white to have your clothing painted or printed by a team of artists during POW WOW Hawaii’s "Blank Canvas" fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Warehouse, 683 Auahi St. in Kakaako.
The shirt painters are Matt Ortiz and Roxy Ortiz of Vers Hawai‘i, who will also be speed-painting along with Kamea Hadar, Jeffrey Gress and Jasper Wong.
The evening of art and cuisine will begin with pupu and cocktails served from food trucks by mixologists and chefs from top restaurants, guided tours of urban art murals in the area, and a street dancing exhibition.
Designers and artists will contribute one-of-a-kind table runners that will be auctioned off as part of an art-based silent auction.
POW WOW Hawaii, a group of contemporary artists committed to community enrichment through art outreach programs, will also debut a short video presentation on the public art installations that now adorn buildings throughout Kakaako.
Single tickets are $125. Tables of 10 start at $2,000. Premium tables, which include special favors, are $5,000. Free valet parking will be provided.
